I realized I took a bunch of pictures yesterday but none for this blog. I did make half a dozen fabric yoyos at beautiful soccer games yesterday. But was too busy taking pictures of my cute kids to take pictures of my work. I'll get on that tomorrow.
I have done a bit of embroidery on the Superman quilt and chosen the squares for Vega's quilt (and no her name is not really going to be Vega it's just what she is being referred to while inside) That is the quilt started with the paint samples. I am planning to have at least those pieces put together in the next few days. I do need some ideas for a song or poem or children's book that uses birds. SO far all I have thought of is the Kookaburra song from Girl Scouts and the Nursery Rhyme about black birds baked in a pie that snipped off the maid's nose...neither are really appropriate or that fun really. Any thoughts!? I mean I can always use The Lorax or the Star Bellied Sneeches. I have a little while, like few weeks to decide what I want to do. Plus I have not even looked at my Shel Silverstein collection, may be the Giving Tree....she will have a tree on her wall.
This week begins Bravo's Next Great Artist (I think I have the name right) I am so excited about this! Between this show and Project Runway I really am getting amped up about the artist part of me! So there was my weekend, a bit of this and a bit of that...few things accomplished that won't be done again next weekend. But that is what weekends with kids are for....right?!
